critterhubbard asked:Hi, I was wondering, I want to practice magic, but I want to be mindful of what Im doing. Reason why, some people choose to share a spiritual relationship with the other side, others tend to take on dark energy, but Im not afriad, I just want to be safe about it, where should I go and how can I manifest the right teachers for me, that does not have a dark agenda. Where should I start?
there are many different forms of magick and how to encompass it through ritual, sacred channelings, crystal healing, sacred geometry, elemental, etc. It depends on what is your intention and how you want to channel the current that you wish upon your desire. With all magick you have to be careful with your workings and whether they are good intentions or bad, you have to acknowledge what you wish to achieve. If you’re truly set on learning then you will manifest a teacher into your life that suits your needs, all you need to do is ask the universe for guidance.
I wouldn’t necessarily worry too much about spirits with ‘dark agendas’. Work on shielding, grounding and visualization techniques to help you overcome this fear. dark energy is only there for people who wish to channel it into their perceptional viewpoint. However all darkness has much light in it as well, it just comes a point of focus, intention and realizing that you are in control here, not them. you won’t get possessed by demons, you won’t be haunted and you certainly won’t be plagued by fear if you make your intention clear. You are the powerful being here, in the physical, you are strong and you need to realize you hold the power of the life force within your viens, within your hands and that is how you channel the energy currents for the entire universe is inside of you. What you channel comes from within and through the higher realms of consciousness.
Wicca is a great place to start if you want to do more earth bound magic about worshipping mother Earth and the elements. If you’re looking for more of an advanced work i’d suggest works by Aleister Crowley, Kenneth grant and just exploring the hermetic qabalah in general. Actually learning about the qabalah and the tree of life is another great place to start if you want a different approach then wicca/pagan studies. I know most people cringe when you mention crowley but his sources are extremely resourceful when wanting to explore the higher channels and realms/dimensions. His inner works are really not that different from those who go through their own ascension progression and awakening. I personally love Raven Grimassi’s books but honestly there is no wrong way to go about this as long as your intention is clear.
let your intuition be your guide for you will find that there is truly magic all around you if only you seek to find ;)
