Uranus square Pluto, Energies A-buzz:

On May 20th 2013 we have the third of seven exact squares between Uranus and Pluto that began in 2012 and will continue through 2015.

On May 20th 2013 we have the third of seven exact squares between Uranus and Pluto that began in 2012 and will continue through 2015. Due to the slow rate of movement of the outer planets, this explosive aspect has been in effect since late 2010-2011, and has triggered waves of social upheaval, revolutionary movements and the breakdown of cultural institutions.

Uranus signifies that part of us that seeks independence. It rebels against the status quo and rules Aquarius, the sign of humanitarian consciousness. It’s a high voltage, electric Astro energy that inspires innovation and triggers both unexpected and unusual events (think Uranium.) Uranus rules technology and electronics. Pluto signifies Power with a capital ‘P’ (think Plutonium) and the transformation process. Pluto was the mythological lord of the under-world, and transformation involves the death of the old form before something new can be reborn on a higher level. Pluto Astro energy is super intense and ‘hot’ – it inspires passion, which can easily turn into obsession and destructive control. Pluto is also about power within society and often figures prominently in the charts of political figures and events. It rules secrets and ‘dark forces.’ The energy of both planets is revolutionary in their influence.

Uranus – Pluto events are dramatic points in time that herald radical change, and chaos in one form or another is always a part of that change, depending on the nature of the aspect. The 90 degree aspect, or square, creates enormous tension with the energies of signs that are square each other in the zodiac conflict. They just can’t harmonize and a conscious intention to resolve the conflict in needed to evolve issues in your life when planets square each other. Uranus and Pluto together can be volatile, intense energies that relate to the direction of values in society. Revolutions, uprisings, far sweeping social reforms, rebellions and wars of independence have occurred throughout history during hard aspects between Uranus and Pluto. The last square between them was in the 1930’s, a time when there was upheaval and social movements all over the globe.

In the 1960’s these planets were conjunct, an exact degree in the same sign, which is a very high impact aspect but not as challenging as the square. The civil rights movement arose during this time, as did the assassination of Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy. During the ‘60’s Uranus-Pluto conjunction, this was also a time when there were anti-war movements, artistic and sexual revolutions, expansion of consciousness in all forms - and paved the way for the next chapter of these Planets’ cosmic dance - the square between them in Aries and Capricorn, which has been called, ‘the 2012 aspect.’

Pluto seeks power, Uranus seeks freedom, and their sign placements during this cycle are all about freedom and power! Uranus is in the sign of Aries, which is the warrior, the pioneer; it’s all about bold action, courage and personal will. Pluto is in the sign of Capricorn, which is the authority, the executive body, it’s all about achievement, consolidation of power and discipline. Signs and planets, as with everything, have a positive and negative expression. The ‘shadow’ side of Aries is belligerent, raging and loses its head in the frenzy of battle or in arguments with your loved ones and peers. The ‘shadow’ side of Capricorn can bring out controlling, elitist, power-hungry and cold-heartedness in people. Both are Cardinal signs – they instigate action, they make things happen. Both are stubborn and tenacious, and with this aspect people will stand their ground. Uranus stands up for our independence and individuality, but its shadow side is selfish, irresponsible and insensitive to how it affects others. Pluto guides us to our destiny; it connects us with our deepest purpose and power. But its shadow side can be destructively rigid, tyrannical and holds onto power at all costs. Uranus in Aries is the fiery rebel, the freedom fighter. Pluto in Capricorn is the Power Elite, the Plutocrat.

Pluto entered Capricorn in 2008, which coincided with the breakdown (Pluto) of financial structures (Capricorn) across the globe. It was thought that an abuse of power within the world of corporate finance lead to economic crisis and the fall-out hit the working class. Uranus entered Aries in 2010, and as it moved to within a few degrees of its square to Pluto, this coincided with revolutionary movements that began to spread throughout the world.

It’s true that Pluto in Capricorn is the power broker, the tycoon who will enforce their control and protect their status – possibly at any cost. But that’s not the highest manifestation of this combination. Capricorn is an Earth sign and in its highest form is concerned with greatness of work and cautious, conservative use of resources.

Astrology describes impersonal influences that play out according to a cosmic time table, but how you respond to those influences is up to you. It is a time of profound uncertainty, as many of the structures of our culture break apart and we wonder what will take their place. But it’s also a time of enormous promise with potential to rebuild our values and structures. To emerge from the chaos onto higher ground, keep The Big Picture in mind, and it will help you have the strength and insight to act from a place of centered connection with your mind, body and soul, rather than react blindly. This Uranus square Pluto cycle is a time of testing, and will highlight areas of your life where you need to tune into your inner guidance to navigate the significant challenges you face as an individual and for all of us on a world scale. Indeed, for our world to evolve to a higher level of consciousness it would seem social structures that are based on inequality and greed must give way to something better for all.

The Moon will be at its Perigee, or closest approach, in July 23 and it will reach full moon only a few minutes after it passes this point in its orbit.

These ‘super moons’ not only appear larger because they are physically closer but, combined with a full moon, the mind can play tricks on you to think they are much larger. there are numerous things you can do, there are tons of site and info out there to explore. I have links on the side that you’re welcome to explore. You could join groups or forums, talk/discuss with other indigos and starseeds of the like minded as you so you don’t feel as alone. You could look into researching chakras, energy, consciousness, the mysteries of the mind, etc. There are tons of ways for you to explore this, whatever is the path for you, is the path that you must take <3

I need help. Numerology has locked me in a cage; I seem to use numbers to guide me through my daily waking life and I feel so lost and distant, like I can’t do anything without the meanings telling me whether I should or not. I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m utterly and helplessly lost.

The best thing you can do with a situation like this is to realize you are the creator of your reality and therefore you are the one in control. Your mind is trained to believe in the numbers whether they be a positive or negative sign, however it’s important to remember everything external is part of an internal manifestation of your consciousness. If you need help with guidance ask your guides and angels about this. Tell them to tame down the numbers, talk to your higher self and realize that they are only numbers YOU are the creator, the one in control. I would also recommend maybe looking into talking to others about this, other indigos or seeing a reiki teacher? The mind is a powerful thing, we assign symbols to meaning through archetypal patterns of our consciousness. So we must be consciously aware that we are the ones making ourselves lost which means we can always find ourselves again as well. I’m not sure what else to tell you, the numbers are a guide not the map of your consciousness only YOU are that. <3

Hi!! i have a question:) where im living right now i’ve no family left and theres no possibility of moving. when im lonely i get this empty feeling in my stomach right where my root chakra is. and it isn’t hunger or something else. it feels really uncomfortable . so my question was.. what can i do about it? thanks for your incredible blog! because of you i found out that im a indigo child:)

wow that’s awesome that the blog helped you discover your an indigo. i love hearing stuff like that <3 As for what you’re feeling, it couldn’t be your root chakra because your root chakra is located right below your pelvic bone at the base of your spine. An empty feeling in your stomach would be your solar plexus ;) Personally considering you pointed out your root chakra and also mentioned your family i would more likely feel that this has to deal with your root chakra than your solar plexus however it could be both. You could do a pendulum check to see which of your chakras are open and closed they’re very easy you just sit in a chair or lay down (to let someone else do it for you) put a pendulum above each of these chakras to see if they’re rotating in a circle or closed/blocked. If they’re blocked the pendulum will refuse to move it’s actually really fun to try.

a theory and a question all at once. Have you ever studied Tai chi? and tantra?

Ive come to rather odd conculsion, they are the polar yet similar oppisites of each other.. literally the male/female parts. Heres why i feel this in 3 reasons.

1. The same energy systems, chakras mandrains and such
2. one is more a science, and the other a art <tantra to tai chi>
3. tantric energy comes more from your base and female, but chi is often more from all over and towards top, and closer to a oppisite of that.

That’s a very interesting theory, I personally believe all energy whether energy chi ki prana and the like are all the very same system. Tantra IS more of an art where you’re working with chi energy usually through sex or deep intimate movements/meditations with your partner. Tantra is all about kundalini and gathering sexual energy using both masculine and feminine alignment. Tai Chi is more about stress release and meditative practices similar to yoga. However Tai chi is closer towards Taoism and martial arts because it’s a form of exercise developed around philosophy.

I believe what you’re trying to explore is basically the method of Kundalini which is the merging of both masculine and feminine energy. Many use the practice of Kundalini yoga to achieve this.

Hi I was wondering if you had any tips on astral projection. I’m having a hard time getting out of my body. I tried the rope technique but I still can’t do it. I’m doing this after my body is completely asleep and I feel like my body and consciousness are separated, does that make sense?

It isn’t easy at first, it takes lots of practice and the ability to conquer your fears, also you must learn how to let go completely by deattaching yourself from your body. It’s all about focus on consciousness and projecting your soul out from your body by guided meditation. It’s also easier to achieve when in a very relaxed borderline sleepy state of mind.
